For the past four decades Diogenes Youth Services, Inc. has been the "bridge to the future for at-risk teens" in the Sacramento area, helping thousands of homeless, runaway and at-risk teens become contributing members of society. We impact the lives of 15,000 youth and families each year.
Diogenes keeps kids off the street, in school and out of the juvenile justice system. Our philosophy is not to rescue youth, but to involve them and their families in learning to resolve problems and conflicts.
We provide 24-hour intervention and full service emergency shelter as well as individual, family and group services are offered free of charge. Our street based outreach services provides youth living on the "street" with nightly on-site counseling, information, and referral services.
Diogenes is a non-profit organization 501(c)3 tax exempt youth and family advocacy organization providing crisis intervention to youth and families, offering alternatives to "street" life by engaging kids in services before they have to resort to crime or become victims
